USH 41 - PESHTIGO BYPASS

KL Engineering completed the final design and PS&E package of the expansion of USH 41 around the City of Peshtigo in Marinette County. The project expands 5.2 miles of USH 41 from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane freeway. This segment of USH 41 was constructed on a new alignment to bypass the City of Peshtigo and included interchanges on the west and east sides of Peshtigo.

The design also includes side road realignments, drainage analysis & railroad coordination. Two new at-grade and two new grade separation structures were constructed at the Canadian National Railway Crossings. Two PS&E packages were delivered for this project. The Peshtigo Bypass project is part of the expansion of USH 41 from Oconto to Peshtigo in Oconto and Marinette Counties. Because the entire corridor project includes segments being designed by KL Engineering, Kapur & Associates and SEH, close coordination is required in order to share information and keep the project on schedule.

PS&E's for this $47 million project were delivered in October 2007 and February 2008.  Construction began in 2008 and was completed in 2009.
